1 year of blessings: Happy 1st. work anniversary to me!

A lot of things can happen in one year. For me, this past year has been a year of proving myself that I'm able to stay and settle in one place... and I believe God has a lot of responsibility into finding the right workplace for me. He knows me well, he knows my heart and my desires, and He is using this place to shape me into His purpose for my life.

I spent almost two years looking for the "perfect job." We all know that it is almost impossible to find what we call "perfect," but now I can say that I got closer. In the timeframe of two years I changed jobs about 3 times. I was frustrated and disapointed of myself. I got to the point of thinking that there was something wrong with me for not staying at one place longer than a few months. However, God had His plan already set, and instead of me trying to find the right job, the right job found me.

I started working at Potter's House,(PHA) a year ago. PHA is an NGO in Guatemala City that works with people from the Garbage Dump community. God has used PHA to shape my life, my thoughts, my abilities, my beliefs, my social skills and even more. I'm lucky to be valued as a professional and independent woman, which is not a common thing in my country. There, I've seen the hardships of my people, and it has been amazing to become part of a team that is working towards their development and wellbeing.

God has taught me that by trusting Him and leaving everything in His hands, things can get better.

I'm grateful for this one year of adventures, lessons, and surprises, and I'm excited for what is yet to come. Happy 1st. work anniversary to me! The only thing left to say is: Praise the Lord for His Faithfulness!

Sharing with amazing people, one of my favorite things to do at Potter's House.
